On the 9th of September, Dr. and Mrs.Alex Manning hosted the monthly meeting of the Robson Ranch Catholic Club. Our guest speaker was Mr. Bret Curran, the Grand Knight from the Knights of Columbus Council 12553. Mr. Curran informed the group about the many activities sponsored by the Knights, both faith and community based. Some of the faith-based activities are St. Mark’s Christmas Party, the Lenten fish fry and the parish picnic. Some of the community-based activities are support of the Loreto House, Our Daily Bread and the feeding of the poor once a month at the Church of Christ on McKinney. Mr. Curran has been a resident of Denton since 1979 where he resides with his wife Michelle and their four children.
The next meeting of the Robson Ranch Catholic Club will be on October 14; we will welcome Bishop Michael Olson, bishop of the diocese of Ft. Worth, as our guest speaker. The event will take place at the clubhouse at 7:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served, and all are welcome.
