The Veterans Park Committee cordially invites all Robson Ranch veterans, residents, your family and friends to join us at the Veterans Park on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26. Our ceremony will commence at 10:30 a.m. and last approximately 30 minutes. There will be a fly-over by two military vintage aircraft and a cannon salute.
Following the ceremony you are all invited to view the special Memorial Day displays in the clubhouse until 1:00 p.m. They will include a piece of the Battleship USS Arizona and flags that have flown over many combat areas in Afghanistan and Iraq, including two that flew aboard military aircraft while on a mission. We will also have military paintings, dioramas, military gear and military history articles on display. For kids young and old, there will be a special operating HO scale military train layout provided by the Robson Ranch Model Railroad Club. A new edition of the Veterans Park Tribute Book will also be on display by the SOT Photo Display Cases honoring the veterans related to Robson Ranch residents that we support.
Robson Ranch residents are invited to place photos, medals and other memorabilia honoring veterans and their families in our clubhouse display. If you wish to do so, please contact Charles Runner by email at [email protected] or 11404 Ridgedale Court before Wednesday, May 21, so that we can reserve enough display tables. Please provide the veteran(s) name, relation to the Robson Ranch resident, branch of service, dates of service, and a brief description of the item you wish to display (photo, plaque, framed memorabilia, artifact, etc.). And please mark your calendars and plan to join us in honoring our veterans, past and present.
