The Robson Ranch Community Choir is entering their 12th season. Beginning the month of August, choir members will receive their music and start practicing for the Veterans and Christmas concerts. A tradition here at the Ranch was initiated in 2003 when the choir was formed under the direction of Joe Arnett to honor our Veterans here at the Ranch and throughout the country. At the close of the spring concert this year, Joe passed the baton into the capable hands of Dr. Arturo Ortega. Dr. Ortega is an adjunct professor on the staff at the University of North Texas. He is recognized worldwide for his guest conducting of both classical and modern composers. In conducting venues closer to home, Dr. Ortega has conducted and directed numerous musicals at the Denton Music Theatre where his work is acclaimed by local audiences.

Dr. Ortega is excited to have the opportunity to work with our Robson choir. His warm and engaging personality has already attracted the choir members who have met with him. The choir is looking forward to the year ahead. Over 80 dedicated, returning members have responded to the call for singers with new members joining us. Dr. Ortega has selected the repertoire of music for the Veterans concert. The Robson community has always been very supportive of the choir; Dr. Ortega is committed to preserving this tradition of bringing quality music and entertainment to Robson Ranch.
