Dance Club’s Rockin’ Romance Dance Party

Vicki Baker

We associate the most romantic day of the year with flowers, cards, and chocolates. But not this time around. It was the Dance Club’s “Rockin’ Romance Dance Party”. And this wasn’t your grandma’s garden-variety Valentine’s Day dance! The sold-out crowd kept the room a-rockin’ and the dance floor hot. Live music from Flashback Entertainment brought energy to an all-time high and kept everyone on their feet hours into the night to the sounds of rock and roll, pop, swing, country, and big band. Black, white and red were the colors of the night with the ballroom decorated in guitars and hearts.

And to top it off, there were great door prizes generously donated by our wonderful sponsors Nothing Bundt Cakes, Henry Evans (dance instructor), Queenie’s Steakhouse, and Dr. Kevin Theleman of Cardiovascular Consultants. The lucky winners were Vickie Bone, Terry Scholze, Geraldine Gawle, Sandy DeVincenzo, Randy Johnston and B Bender.

It was certainly a special night full of memories, dancing, and rockin’ romance. Remember to mark your calendar for the next dance, “American Bandstand” set for April 28 with live music from Freddie and the Falcons.

It is with your feet you move, but it is with your heart that you dance!
