Thank you friends, neighbors, families and Kiwanians for making Denton’s Magical Night of Hope a very successful event in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Everyone looked wonderful in their semi-formal attire, and all had a great time from imbibing the special Abracadabra cocktail to the sumptuous dinner provided by the very capable Grill staff. We were able to sell 161 tickets, and we were fortunate to secure thousands of dollars in donations. Thanks to our wonderful committee who gave many hours of their time planning the event and procuring items for and managing the silent auction and decorating the ballroom so festively. There are none better than these dedicated individuals. Incidentally, the silent auction was a near sellout. Thank you! Finally, special thanks to Sonia Azad, our keynote speaker from WFAA TV; George Coleman who talked about his grandson who was treated at St. Jude; Sonu Varkey, our magician entertainer, Elise Wattman, our musical entertainer, and Dick Welday, our emcee. This event was sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Robson Ranch, and we couldn’t have pulled this off without the support of the board and club members.

Here are the committee members responsible for this great night. Please thank them if you get a chance: Dorothy Edlund, David Everly, Janice Forthman, Patti Gobeli, Tanya Jones, Kathy Perry, Carol Rauhauser, Betsy Sheats and Martha Shoemaker.
