Genealogy Club resumes twice monthly meetings

The Genealogy Club will be kicking off the fall season with getting back to two meetings each month on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. We will also continue to hold our monthly Wednesday Help Session on the second Wednesday of the month.

In September the planned meetings will include the following:

Tuesday, September 2, at 7:00 p.m. A webinar, “The Three C’s of Irish Research: Church, Civil Registration and Census.”

Wednesday, September 10 at 2:00 p.m. Our monthly Help Session during which you are invited to work one-on-one with a club member whose experience may be of help to you. If you’d like, you may bring your laptop and whatever information you have that will help in your search.

Tuesday, September 16, at 7:00 p.m. Professional genealogist Judy Knight will speak on the subject “The Grass is Greener.”

Our October schedule will include:

Tuesday, October 7 at 7:00 p.m. Presenter Kathy Strauss, “Researching Passenger Records.”

Wednesday, October 15 at 2:00 p.m. Help Session

Tuesday, October 21 at 7:00 p.m. Webinar: “Researching Your German Ancestors.”

All our meetings are held in Room 104 of the CATC, and we welcome any who wish to climb the family tree! If you have questions or need more information, please call Adele Stewart at 940-262-3364.
