The Kiwanis Club of Robson Ranch sponsored an event hosted by the Refuge for Women organization held at Robson Ranch on Thursday, Jan. 30, with the panel of experts talking about sex trafficking in our area. It was a big success, 240 people in attendance listening as the panel spoke about what we can do to help our children and grandchildren to avoid this terrible situation. They also spoke about what to do if we see something. If you witness something that doesn’t look right, call 911; you could be saving someone’s life. Thanks to Argyle Dental and the Jeffrey family for sponsoring the drinks and snacks at the event.
The Refuge for Women organization will be having a Celebration Dinner as a fundraiser to help with this cause. The event will be in Denton at the Embassy Suites on April 16. To get your tickets, go to www.rfwntx.org/events.
