Join the Road Runners from September 22 – October 6, 2018 for the Indulgences of Eastern Canada tour.

The first seven nights will be spent in the most luxurious hotels in eastern Canada. In Toronto modern conveniences meet old world elegance in their 40 million dollar renewal of this classic 1903 hotel, Omni King Edward Hotel. You’ll see the city from the top of the CN Tower and view Parliament, Queen’s Park and museums. The highlight is getting close and personal to Fabulous Niagara Falls and then a chance to do a little window shopping at boutiques and galleries. Off next to Ottawa along the shores of Lake Ontario viewing historic buildings, 19th century fortifications and churches. Then check in to the five-star Fairmont Chateau Laurier Castle. A special treat is dinner at the Courtyard housed in an historic building dating to 1827 and rated one of the top restaurants in Ottawa.

Next day is Mountie day, and we get a chance for one-on-one with one of those stoic men. The morning is touring, and that afternoon you’ll be free to look around on your own. Then off to Quebec City, North America’s first French settlement and only walled city. Our hotel is an historic multi-turreted building by the St Lawrence River: Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac. We will be staying on Fairmont Gold, a private concierge floor. Prime ministers, entertainers, presidents and queens have stayed here. We’ll have two days to see all the important sites before leaving for our seventh night in Montreal. We get a locally guided tour showcasing the historic background and the modern downtown area. Our celebratory dinner will be at Gibby’s with French inspired cuisine of course. The next day you have a choice of leaving the tour or continuing on a luxurious Holland American seven-day cruise. We’ll leave from Quebec City and travel down the picturesque St Lawrence River. Ports of call will be Victorian Charlottetown, Sydney, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Bar Harbor Maine and finally our end destination of Boston.

Hopefully in Canada and along the St Lawrence we will see spectacular fall color. Be sure in Nova Scotia to take in museums of the Titanic and a cemetery where so many unknowns were buried. Bar Harbor is the perfect place for a lobster roll and some shopping or island hopping. Join the Road Runners on the Insight Gold Experience.
