Following the success of the annual Women’s Only program in June, the Men’s Only program will take place on Wednesday, July 10 at 3:00 p.m. in the Clubhouse. The speaker will be Dr. George C. Bailey, a urologist who is in practice with Urology Clinics of North Texas, in association with Medical City Alliance and Medical City Denton. In addition to providing patients with general urological care, Dr. Bailey has a clinical emphasis on urologic oncology, sexual dysfunction and kidney stone treatment. He will be here to answer all your questions.

The August speaker’s series will feature a workshop with speakers provided from the Alzheimer’s Association and vendors who specifically have services for the needs of people suffering from dementia. Registration will be required. The talks will include Understanding and Responding to Dementia-Related Behavior by Nelly Garcia, Effective Communication by Kathy Stamm and Alzheimer’s Medications by Amie Blaszczyk.

The program will take place on Wednesday, August 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Robson Ranch Clubhouse Ballroom. Morning snack and lunch will be provided. Tickets are available from Shelbi for $10.

Repeat sessions of the Safety for Senior’s class will run through August, conducted by the Denton Police Department. It will consist of eight classes throughout the month with both a lecture and an activity component. The series was well received by the residents who participated in January. There is a limit of 16 for the class, so registration will be required. The classes will take place from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on August 1, 6, 8, 13, 20, 22, 27 and 29.
