Roadrunners invade the Caribbean

Jan Wallace

Seventy-five fun-seeking Roadrunners left from San Juan, PR on the beautiful Celebrity ship, Summit.

The Brandts and Celebrity hosted many fun activities: a cocktail party (we all received a RRRR hat), a complementary dinner at Normandies where we feasted on lobster and chateaubriand, great wines, a beverage package that kept liquid flowing and most fun of all was a martini tasting—six flavors. You know the song, Oh What a Night. Speaking of that, we had a group from NYC that performed the Jersey Boy numbers—fabulous! The Brandts were in the lounge each night to give help or just discuss the events of the day.

Individually each day most of us left for some beautiful tours of Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua, St. Maarten and St. Thomas. The islands were lush with foliage, flowers, beautiful water and friendly islanders. The big deal was St. Thomas where the ladies raced off the ship to find the best jewelry bargains, and they really did score! You should see the jewels that came back to Texas.

The entertainment was superb—their production shows are second to none. The dancers were beautiful and talented, and Celebrity has the best band on the seas. All in all it was a week to remember with fabulous Robson Ranchers.

Don’t be left out on our future expeditions: wine cruise in September and Galveston cruise February 2016. We are also in the planning stages of some wonderful cruises and land trips, so you stay tuned and have luggage ready.
