Robson Ranch Catholic Club met on Tuesday, October 13, at 7:00 p.m. at the home of Alex and Irene Manning. A short meeting was started with a prayer. The meeting consisted of some old business and a few announcements, and the meeting was adjourned.
Our very special guest speakers were from the Encourage group, which serves the Dallas/Ft. Worth diocese. Encourage is a support group for family members, spouses and friends of men and women who experience same sex attraction. Courage is an international support group for Catholic men and women who experience same sex attraction and desire to live chaste lives following the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. Our speakers all have family members with same sex attraction, and their testimonies were outstanding. The presentation was given by two nurses, one pharmacist and a doctor who teaches at the seminary in Arlington. We had a question and answer segment, and it was a very informative evening. We ended the meeting with everyone helping themselves to refreshments and some good old fashioned fellowship. We had a wonderful turnout; nearly 50 people attended.
