Robson Riders Motorcycle Club: here’s to the year past and the New Year

Stan Brein

It has been a year of revitalization and invigoration for the Robson Riders Motorcycle Club. Restructuring and more member involvement has allowed us to organize more frequent rides, various types of rides and additional club activities. The focus has been on better trip planning and execution, on-bike Bluetooth communication and member participation, and these goals are being achieved. Extended ride destinations during the year included Arkansas, New Mexico and a couple of cross country excursions.

The club held the first holiday gathering at the home of Pam and Dennis Dotson on December 8. Over 30 club members attended and enjoyed great fellowship and holiday delicacies. Thanks to Marti Conley, Pam Dotson and Vicki Baker for coordinating the event.

Upcoming events include the Progressive International Motorcycle Show in February, an overnight trip to Turner Falls, Oklahoma in April, as well as multi-day trips to the Texas Hill Country, Granbury and Medicine Park, Oklahoma.

A big thank you to the Robson residents who contributed garments to the Coats for Kids Ride in November. Twelve motorcycles and 16 club members carried approximately 70 coats gathered from the Ranch. Altogether there were over 900 hundred bikers in the ride, and 2,180 coats were collected and distributed to students throughout Denton County.

See you on the road!

Beware of cagers and keep the rubber side down!
