Robson SoLo Ladies had a great December

Demographically the SoLo Group is comprised of residents from the lower Southerland Drive area from Michelle Way to Crestridge Dr. We also have a couple of “adopted” SoLoites. Our group is getting fairly large, and we have a lot of fun.

This December the ladies decided to expand our venue beyond our monthly lunch at the Grill. On December 4 a group of us visited Grapevine and made a stop at the Vetro Glassblowing Studio on Main Street to make our own glass ornaments. It was great fun! Each of us had such a fun time choosing our colors and even got to “turn” the glass blob in the fire! Attending the outing to Vetro Glassblowing Studio were Kathy Todd, Donna Forkin Lepore, Donalee Hollenback, Megan Wiegand, Linda Venable, Sondra Hall and Mary Sullivan. Lunch at Esparza’s followed, along with some shopping.

The next big adventure was designed to give us a break from the hustle and bustle of the busy holiday season. On December 12, Linda Venable, Megan Wiegand, Kathy Todd, Sondra Hall, Jamey Seifert, Donalee Hallenback, Ok Cha Cummings, Patty Stimson and Sherry Hansel (from Crestview Dr.) took a well-deserved spa day at the King Spa in Dallas. Prior to heading out we had a wonderful breakfast at Cachette Bakery in Argyle. Joining us for breakfast was also Barbara Geiser. This is certainly an outing we will be repeating!

Finally, on December 13 part of the group went back to Grapevine for a crafty experience at Grapevine Springs Winery. The best part was hanging out with friends and making a very cool planter out of wine glasses!
