The first Saturday in April brought beautiful weather to North Texas, and members of the After Schoolers Club and their friends took advantage of the day. The group of 20 participated in the North Texas Horse Country Tour sponsored by the Denton Visitors Bureau.

North Texas has one of the largest and most diverse concentrations of horse farms in the world! There are more than 350 ranches with 40,000 horses. Our group toured two ranches and did a drive-through at a third. We learned interesting and informative facts about horse ranching and were delighted to see all the “babies” of spring. We enjoyed a delicious chuck wagon style meal followed by a Mounted Shooting demonstration before returning to Denton.
