Our Jewish Friendship Group met on March 13 with Mark and Bert Zeitlin as our hosts. Members brought some wonderful Jewish foods to share, and new members joined our group. We had a nice attendance for this day.
Prospective members have contacted me and are getting closer to buying here at Robson and joining our group. As a reminder, only one member of a couple needs to be Jewish, and singles are more than welcome. We are strictly a social, non-religious group, but we still maintain our heritage and celebrate holidays throughout the year.
Passover is fast approaching and this is the time of year that we eat Matzoh (unleavened bread) and acknowledge the 10 plagues God placed upon the Egyptians because he wouldn’t let the people of Israel go free. As we know the Pharaoh did let them go, and the Red Sea parted for Moses and the people of Israel. A happy ending.
We are having our April 24 meeting as a Passover Seder at the home of B and Norm Bender. Many thanks to them for hosting us.
Our May 15 meeting will be hosted by Joyce and Stan Brein, and we will be back at the Clubhouse.
