Sigma Chi Brothers enter float in parade

The Brothers of Sigma Chi and their 4th of July float

The Brothers of Sigma Chi and their 4th of July float

Dave Parker

The Brothers of Sigma Chi entered a float for the second time in the annual 4th of July parade at Robson Ranch. Brother Mick Fox’s son, Clint, furnished the truck and the float for the second time. The Brothers and their Sweethearts were invited to a BBQ at the chapter house on Crestview Drive the night before. After the meal the finishing touches were placed on the float once the temperature and sun had dropped. Everyone felt that this float was a cut above last year. As with tradition, the chapter kegerator secured a position in the front of the float. Brother John Humphries furnished water shooters, and about eight gallons of water was loaded on the float for ammunition. Friends and unsuspecting residents were all fair game for the water shooters. The Animal House soundtrack was played during the parade. On the back of the float was the sign, “On double secret probation STILL” provided by Brother Chuck Newcomer. Another great time was had by the Brothers that were in town and able ride the float. Any Sigma Chi’s living at the Ranch that would like to join the group contact John Humphries at [email protected].
