Singles Halloween party

Dick Cecil

The Singles Club celebrated its second annual Halloween party on Tuesday, October 31, at the RR Clubhouse. There were 100 or so members attending who enjoyed a joyous evening of food, music, costumes and festivities. Chef Aubrey provided his usual great buffet with spaghetti and meatballs, eggplant parmesan, Caesar salad and dessert of bread pudding.

Music was provided by the Silver Rail Band with a great blend of oldies and some country. A highlight was the costume contest. Winners were as follows: Mary Fabian, first, our Queen of Scots; Dee Simmonds, not sure what he was, second; and Peggy Beyer, a creature from Finding Nemo, third. A great time was had by all.

The Singles Club participates in many varied social, cultural and community service activities throughout the year. We meet every Tuesday to “Mix and Mingle” at the Grill from 5:30-7:00 p.m. If you are interested in learning more about the club stop by to see us there.
