Singles Serious Sippers enjoy wine tasting

The Singles Serious Sippers wine group began 2018 by collaborating with the Grill for their January wine tasting event. The event was hosted by Jackie Drain. Jeremy from The Wildhorse Grill selected wines to be paired with the planned appetizers, and Mateo described the wines and assisted with presentation and serving. Appetizers of baked eggplant, stuffed mushrooms, smoked salmon and cherry tomatoes with goat cheese and basil were paired with a Bread and Butter Pinot Noir, a 19 Crimes red blend, a Bogle Petit Syrah, and a River Road un-oaked Chardonnay. The event was enjoyed by all.

Serious Sippers is just one of five wine tasting groups within the Singles Club. The groups meet monthly, usually with a theme for the month. Besides having a good time, the goal is to learn more about wine making, grape varieties, aging, growing regions and climate and different wines from the many countries of the world.

The Singles Club participates in many varied social, cultural and community service activities throughout the year. We meet every Tuesday to mix and mingle at the Grill from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. If you are interested in learning more about the club stop by to see us there.
