SOT Silent Auction

Charles Runner, President Support Our Troops

The 2015 Support Our Troops Silent Auction solicitation drive is now underway. The Veterans Day auction is our major annual fundraising event. One hundred percent of all funds raised by SOT go directly to our mission of providing for the “material, physical and emotional needs of our military men and women at home and abroad.” Our 2014 auction donations were valued at over $52,000 and helped raise a record $29,000 for the Support Our Troops, Inc. mission.

We are currently supporting units deployed to Afghanistan with over 1,500 U.S. military personnel, as well as personnel deployed to the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe. SOT partnerships with business, club, church and personal donors, where SOT packs and ships their donations and pays the postage, have helped us to measurably increase our support to deployed military personnel.

All we do would not be possible without the generous and ongoing support of our donors. Support Our Troops would appreciate your support for our 2015 Silent Auction, which will be held on November 11 in the clubhouse. You can donate quality handmade goods or services of your own; purchased quality goods, gift certificates and cards, gift baskets, or services to donate to the auction; donate cash; or any combination of these. We accept heirlooms. However, we cannot accept items that are missing parts or broken or require repair. Support Our Troops, Inc. of Denton, Texas is a public charity exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, allowing you to deduct the value of your donation on your personal or business tax return.

All donors will have their business or personal names placed on the Support Our Troops web page after the donation is received, and they will remain on the web page until the 2016 auction drive begins. We will also provide an embedded link to your business website, if you wish.

Robson Ranch resident donation forms are located in the kiosk near the HOA desk. You may also pick up forms and drop off donations at the SOT table that will be in the clubhouse Monday, Wednesday and Friday beginning October 19 until November 6.
