SOT to honor Vietnam era vets

Dianne Edmondson

Did you or someone you love serve our country between November 1955 and March 1975? If so, those individuals are a part of the Vietnam Era and the Robson Ranch Support Our Troops group will hold a special recognition for such veterans at its 1:00 p.m. May 13 meeting in the Clubhouse. The veterans will be recognized by name and dates of service and presented with a beautiful commemorative lapel pin thanking them for their Vietnam Era service. The pins are being donated by the Ft. Worth chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) and will be presented by its immediate past President Mike Connelley, retired US Army, and Bill Moore, Navy veteran and SOT immediate past 2nd Vice President.

Last year’s ceremony recognized about 60 Vietnam Era veterans living here at the Ranch and we believe that there are other such veterans who also deserve this recognition.

To be a part of this special recognition, contact Bill Moore at 940-262-0278 or [email protected] by the end of April. All Robson Ranch residents are encouraged to attend to honor these patriots and to learn more about the Support Our Troops organization, which is a proactive, non-political, volunteer, charitable organization that helps to provide for the material, physical and emotional needs of our military men and women at home and abroad, meeting monthly on the second Monday at 1:00 p.m. in the Clubhouse.
