The North Texas winters can provide a challenging environment for outside activities, but the Robson Ranch tennis players can be seen on the courts every time there is a break in the weather. Some of our players have even gotten a lot of experience “mopping” as they dry the courts prior to playing. Drop-in tennis is still available for all Robson residents who would like to play tennis. You just need to show up with your tennis racquet any Monday, Wednesday or Friday at 9:00 a.m. with play continuing until 11:00 a.m.

The Tennis Club will be holding its annual meeting from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on January 8 in the clubhouse. The officers for the coming year will be elected, and other tennis topics will be also be discussed.

Our ladies are busy participating in the USTA 55+ league this winter. They began playing January 2 with the league continuing through February.

Catherine Bass is also forming a spring USTA league, which is available to ladies of all ages. They will play three lines of doubles and three lines of singles and are looking for additional tennis players. The league will begin the first week in March. If you are interested in playing in the league, contact Cat Bass at [email protected].

Now is a good time to check out all of the Tennis Club activities. We will begin holding tennis mixers in the spring. Dues for the club are due on March 1 and are $10 per person. You can get additional information about the Tennis Club by contacting any of the Board members.
