The WLN had a huge turnout for the Robson Ranch 4th of July Parade. Our banner leaders were Carolyn Thomas and Marsha Scholze, followed by our publicity committee, Mary Ornberg and JoAnn Bostwick with the boom box.

The best part of the parade was our WLN Drill Team choreographed by Darla Mahan leading 12 of our members marching to the anthems of our 4 Military Forces. She led Karen Skokan, Jamie Siefert, Tanya Jones, Angie Gay, Irene Wantuchowicz, Jan Angus, Debbie Harwell, Sandy Petty, Judy Ondina, Pam Carson, Cel Muff and Shirley Green in a variety of moves. These included military, burlesque and ballet. They were the talk of the parade with their various moves.

Next the WLN Board Members were in a cart decorated with two styrofoam golf balls on the top and feathered boas hanging from the windshield. It was driven by our past president Jane Thompson with the current president, Virginia Wheeless, secretary Linda Brewer and membership chair Olive Morton.

Behind them came the Princess Cart driven by 2014 Princess Tournament Winner Janie Farnsworth and accompanied by 2013 Princess Tournament Winner Teresa Blackburn-Korn.

This was followed by six other decorated carts driven by Mary Van Sant, Maureen and Larry Varnes, Doris and Bill Belew, Susan Knopick, Moe Fitzgerald and her sister Jackie Dunn and Beverly Busick with our mascot Tucker.

The Niners had so much fun that day. We hope those interested in playing nine holes of golf would contact our membership chair, Olive Morton, at 262-0828 and join the other 113 players for a fun outing of golf on Tuesdays.
