Wildhorse Lady Niners new and happenings

Mary Ornberg

The Wildhorse Lady Niners started the day on May 11 with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start scramble. Afterwards we all met at the Grill for our “golf club scrub party.” Brushes, buckets and rags were provided to us by our social committee. After our clubs were sparkling and clean the Grill served up our lunch of hot grilled chicken sandwiches and potato salad. As you can see from the pictures, everyone had a fabulous time.

May 23 – Ironhorse Golfing

Congratulations to Sharon Dinsmore, Sandy Petty and Jamey Siefert for a great travel day to Iron Horse. We had first class service from unloading our carts already loaded with our goodie bags done in red, white and blue by Tina Hoffenberg. Our carts with GPS on board were led personally to our holes by our own assigned marshall from the Pro Shop. By the way, the smart carts with GPS knew when we were in a restricted area and just stopped going forward. The monitor politely displayed text telling us to put the cart in reverse and back off the area. I was busted twice myself. Lunch was a choice from anything on the menu and very generous helpings. The door prizes were super and congratulations to those who won. Extra congratulations to Deb Williams for closest to the pin. Thanks to the Pro Shop who worked with those who wanted to continue and finish 18. The cool temperature and misty rain did not keep us from having a great time.
