Wisconsin Club celebrates 100 seasons of football

Susan Parker

There may have been many 100 seasons of Green Bay Packer parties across Wisconsin, but the place to be was the Wildhorse Grill. The Green Bay Packers are celebrating a milestone of 100 seasons of football this year. The Packers began the journey 100 years ago at a meeting in downtown Green Bay, WI, organized by Curly Lambeau and George Whitney Calhoun. Lambeau solicited funds for uniforms from his employer, the Indian Packing Company. Mary Fabian, the Wisconsin Club quarterback, sent out information on the party inviting all football fans to the party. Jeremy Trietsch, our food and beverage director, extended the Grill hours to allow the party to watch the whole game. It was certainly a celebration as the Packers won a defensive battle 10 to 3. If you are from Wisconsin, or a Packer fan, and would like to join the group, contact Mary Fabian at [email protected].
