Bocce Ball League rolling along

John Humphries

With the Robson Ranch Bocce Ball League fall session half over, the two divisions seem to be taking different directions. The new “Corleone” division, which plays the early times on Wednesdays, appears to be more evenly matched. The Rat Pack and Spicy Meat-A-Balls both have won three of their four matches, four teams have won two matches, and the other two teams have one win each.

On the flip side of balanced teams is the “Soprano” division. The Wise Guys are once again the clear leader by winning all four matches so far this session. This team went undefeated in the summer session and lost only in the championship match! The next four teams are hot on the Wise Guys’ tail with three out of four matches. Hoping for a second half comeback to make it into the playoffs, there are three teams that have yet to win a match.

Earlier sunsets and cooler weather have been a welcome addition to the fall players. With over 150 participants and plenty of spectators, each Wednesday evening has provided a fun social event for all. Come out and join the fun; the Grill is open and the patio is the place to enjoy beautiful Texas sunsets and great Bocce Ball!
