Casino Night Extravaganza

The St. Patrick’s Day/Casino Night Extravaganza was a big success. When the doors of the Clubhouse Ballroom opened and revealed a sea of gaming tables, ticket holders rushed forward to find their favorite games. Their entrance fee included a $1,000 chip, which they could use at any of the many available tables. Much shouting and celebrating was heard throughout the evening as winners celebrated their skillful playing. Those new to the games were enthusiastic to learn new skills and just enjoy an evening of fun. The experienced and not so experienced gamers quickly went to work winning as many chips as they could for an opportunity to win one of 36 prizes awarded to the top performers. There were also 32 raffle prize winners. Holiday Gala tickets for two, Queenie’s Restaurant gift cards and Texas Motor Speedway race tickets were just a few examples of the great prizes taken home on Saturday night, March 19, by many RR residents.

The Casino Hall was decorated with a St. Patrick’s Day theme so everyone could try the “luck of the Irish.” The clubhouse dining room staff offered an Irish buffet, a well-stocked bar, and a rolling casino bar was available to gamers in the hall to keep their spirits high.

A big thank you to everyone who attended, and please remember to support all of our donors/sponsors who were listed in the Casino program. These businesses that help support out annual activities will be honored in an ad in the December Pioneer Press. The purpose of the social committee is to plan major events for RR homeowners. All residents in RR may attend any of the events, and there are no annual “dues.” The next major event is the Pool Party on Sunday, June 12, at the outdoor pool. In December the Holiday Gala at the Texas Motor Speedway will take place on Saturday, December 10. Mark your calendar now for these two great community events.
