Eat, drink and be scary Halloween Bunco

Judy Ondina

Ghostly greetings were extended to 12 ladies, each bedecked in her Halloween finest. There were witches, a flip flop girl, a smarty pants, Cracker Jacks sailor, Cat in the Hat, a gypsy woman, Pippy Long Stocking, Maxine and Gretel. All enjoyed more than a trick or treat at their monthly bunco gathering, this time at the home of Gayle Coe. She welcomed all to stop in for a spell, come in for a bite and await to see who would win the pot of gold. As the spooktacular group gathered for the roll of the dice, all indulged in such an array of edible delights; it was a feast that took at least several returns for more. Wine and Bloody Marys were sipped as the cheer of “Bunco” was heard from each of the tables. After several hours of rolling the dice, snacking and sipping, the winners were summoned to be awarded their funds. Goody bags were given to each as they departed; the best costume awarded to a “bespectacled” gal.
