The Robson Ranch Garden Club got “down and dirty” on Monday, 21 November, as the membership potted either an Amaryllis bulb or three Paper Whites (Narcissus). In six to eight weeks we ought to enjoy beautiful blooms in our houses during the darker winter months. More than capably led, informed, and entertained by Ty Poynter from Calloway Nursery in Flower Mound, the energy in the room was high and everyone was happy. As always Mr. Poynter came with more than the expected supplies, giving away plants and gift cards to lucky winners. What a wonderful way to begin the Thanksgiving week!

The December meeting for the Garden Club will be lunch at the Grill for members only on Monday, 19 December, at 11:30 a.m. It will be a good time to simply socialize, and there may be a surprise or two. If you are a member and wish to make a reservation, please call vice-president and program chair Mary Ann Rich at 940-262-3354. Reservations need to be made by Wednesday, 14 December.

If you are interested in membership, please call Barbara Warren, membership chair, at 425-443-4578. Dues are $10 per household for the program year, 1 September-31 August.

President Barbara Anderson is also available for questions at 940-239-6504.

Even as the days grow shorter and maybe the weather presents some challenges, take note of the natural world around us: plants, animals, weather, sunrise, sunset, and yes, rain or snow. We are part of a wonderful world!
