On Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., Pastor Chris Schoolcraft from the Argyle Methodist Church will be presiding over the Blessing of the Animals in the picnic table area behind the outdoor pool. No reservations are necessary. Please have your pets leashed and bring a camera for a great photo opportunity.
The Robson Ranch Women’s Club has generously allowed Happy Tails and Education and Animal Rescue Society (EARS) to present pets available for adoption during the Holiday Market on October 13 at the Robson Clubhouse.
We ask that you appreciate the need for an adoption process. EARS requires application information and owner/pet compatibility assessment, sometimes taking two to three weeks to complete. The thoroughness of the adoption process has allowed EARS to achieve a one percent return rate. Failed adoptions are extremely stressful for companion animals. The pets adopted from EARS are fully vetted, temperament-tested and socialized. These animals have been living in foster homes and will continue to be cared for by foster parents until a forever home is found.
Prior to the event, visit earstexas.org to view pets available for adoption and begin the adoption process by filling out an application. At the event, we are able to provide many ideas and information concerning animal rescue. This is a wonderful time to find out about opportunities benefiting animals, including becoming a foster parent.
The following Saturday, October 20, we will be partnering with the Women’s Club in a Halloween pet costume contest. Find your dog that special outfit and sign up when the announcement is made.
Next up, Santa Paws is coming to town. Date TBA; pet photos with Santa will be taken from 10:00 a.m. to noon at 11208 Southerland Drive. $10 per photo for members and $15 for non-members will provide you with the perfect picture for this year’s Christmas card.
