The November Trivia was the last one for 2016. Our sponsor, Emilio Gonzalaz from RFG Wealth Management, came with his colleague Susan Dawson, her husband and Emilio’s wife. Emilio did an excellent job being the music extraordinaire and timekeeper, and Susan was handing out door prizes. Emilio brought individual bags of gourmet popcorn, cookies, candy and door prizes consisting of bottles of wine and restaurant gift cards. He also had a grand prize, which was a wine tasting for eight to 10 people.

There were 19 playing teams and 11 spectators, but some of them played as a few team members were unable to attend at the last minute. As always some of the questions are easy, but of course, there are those that you have to really think about and only have three minutes to come up with an answer.

For those that haven’t played before there are six rounds of questions, which are made up of three questions each, and teams bet points on their answers. The halftime question had six possible answers, and teams received one point for each correct answer. The final question point value ranges from one to 20 points. At this point of the night it’s all about strategy when betting on the final question. All the teams went for broke and bet all their points, and all but three teams got the two part question correct.

The categories vary each Trivia Night, but here are a few of the questions from the November Trivia. Answers are at the bottom.

1. Inventions: The printing press was invented by Johannes Gutenberg in what year?

2. Quote: Who said, “But I am here to tell you there’s something else: the afterworld. A world of never-ending happiness. You can always see the sun, day or night.”

3. Populous: What displaced Alaska as the least populous U.S. state in 1990?

4. Final Question, Romantic Movie: In 1959, Doris Day starred in what romantic comedy and who was her co-star?

Yes, eight teams members working together as one…no use of cell phones…no call a friend!

The winning team members each received Wildhorse Grill Gift Certificates. Congratulations!
