Gordon Summers
Summers, Gordon Sherry. On 2 October 2015, age 89, at peace after facing the challenges of Alzheimer’s disease in recent years. Loved husband of 67 years to Virginia. Loved father and father-in-law to Rebekah and Derek McCullough and Sherry and Rusty George (Dallas, Texas). Loved “Popo” to grandchildren, spouses and great-grandchildren Caleb McCullough and Katie Pascoe and Oblio, Gus and Willa (Nelson), Mash and Dala McCullough and Tasi and Rai (Miyazaki, Japan), Andrew and Tracyann George and Owen and Parker (Fairbanks, Alaska) and Laura and Drew Lott and Laney (Dallas, Texas) and special four-legged friend Hattie. A memorial service to celebrate Gordon’s life was held on Wednesday, 7 October, at the Redcliffs Function Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimers Canterbury are welcomed.
