Up, up and away with an amazing presentation about the Space Program! The Ladies With Hattitude were fortunate enough to have a dynamic speaker, Bill Johansson, discuss the history of the space program from the early days to the present and have a delicious lunch buffet from the Robson Grill.

Mr. Bill Johansson, a Robson resident, spent 25 years working for Rockwell and Boeing on the NASA Space Program. He was responsible for ensuring those involved in human space flight, including government and the contractors, were aware of their role in astronaut safety and mission success. Mr. Johansson played a unique role in the Space Program’s success, and therefore gave us his unique perspective of the program, a perspective you never see on television. We learned interesting factoids about the astronauts and the program, and Mr. Johansson came armed with lots of memorabilia for us to touch and see.

Sally Hampton, Joan Petre and Trudy Searles were the co-hostesses for the event on August 17. They made sure we had plenty of time for eating and chatting, things we are famous for doing, and still enjoy the wonderful speech about the space program. Everyone was soaring high after the good food, good friendship and good presentation.
