June Pickleball Academy

June Pickleball Academy

Susan Parker

June was a busy month at the Robson Ranch Pickleball University. The academy had a record 15 students looking to graduate with a Bachelors in Pickleball. The academy had two great professors in Dr. Ford Roberson and Dr. Fred Thompson (Honorary Doctorates in Pickleball from the Pickleball University). Ford was the lead professor and is one of the elite players in the country. Ford has years of teaching and equipment background. Fred was assisting in the class and is also one of the top players and teachers in the country. The academy could not have a more talented tandem team. If you are a Robson Ranch resident that would like to learn the basics of pickleball, meet 300 new friends, get some exercise and laugh a lot, join the club and register for the academy on the club website at www.rrdpc.com.

The A and B players were treated to a special Third Shot Skills Clinic in June. With Dr. Fred Thompson as professor we had as many players as those on the wait list. Sandy Welch said, “It was the most comprehensive instruction on the third shot that I personally have ever enjoyed.” Future skills clinics are being developed for existing players to take your skills to the next level. Watch the club website and emails for new skills clinics coming soon.
