Red Hat Ladies With Hattitude visited The Log Cabin Village Ft. Worth Living History Museum on Thursday, April 16.

Log cabins depicting the “past” reminded us of how fortunate we are to have many more conveniences in our homes today. The log cabin homes were furnished as they were long ago, and docents were available to enlighten the beautiful and sometimes challenging history of those who lived in the past. In addition to the homes, we were able to visit the local blacksmith and see how iron was smelted and shaped. The herb garden brought fragrances of mint, lemon basil and a variety of other herbs.

After a delicious meal at Panera’s, we finished our journey by riding on the miniature train, which took us on a tour of Trinity Park. We all enjoyed the day.
