March 18: Mix it up in McKinney

Spend a day in McKinney, known for its unique shops and great restaurants on the town square. Enjoy two fabulous wine tastings at the best cellars McKinney has to offer: Mitas Hill Vineyard and Lone Star Cellars. Take a leisurely buggy tour of the Mitas vineyard. Visit Tupp’s Brewery in the historic Cotton Mill for craft beer tastings and live music. Lunch will be on your own. Price: $89 per person

April 1: Fort Worth Food and Wine Festival

North Texas’ most celebrated cuisine and beverage festival, an event not to be missed. The Saturday brunch gets the full festival treatment with noted area restaurants contributing dozens of dishes from eggs Benedict to breakfast tacos plus a generous selection of craft beers, specialty wines and various spirits. Or give your favorite beverages an upgrade with the Mimosa and Bloody Mary bars. The roster of talented chefs and food artisans as well as craft brewers and distinctive vintners bring a range of tastes, styles and methods that reflect the diversity of the city itself and all for a good cause. Proceeds from the event go to local grant programs and culinary scholarships to deserving students from Fort Worth. Price: $105 per person

September 21 – 22: Wildcatter Ranch

Re-explore your Texas roots or become an honorary Texan while enjoying the beauty of the North Texas Hill Country during your stay at the Wildcatter Ranch and Resort. Tour, shop and dine in downtown Graham with a tour of the famous Old Post Office Museum before checking into the Wildcatter Ranch, known for its unique rustic charm.
