The Robson Ranch Catholic Club met on Tuesday, April 12, at the very lovely home of Ed and Carol Kerr. Our guest speaker was Mr. John Josefsberg. Mr. Josefsberg and his wife and two daughters reside here in Denton. Mr. Josefsberg related how he grew up in a nominally Jewish family in New York and his many struggles while growing up.

As a child he was tossed back and forth between divorced parents and then grandparents. He eventually went to college where he met his lovely wife who was from a large Italian family. His wife was Catholic and his girls were raised Catholic, but it wasn’t until one of his young daughters told her dad, “If you really knew about the Catholic Church you would become Catholic.” His daughter made him promise that he would study the Catholic faith, so he kept his promise. What she told him would come true, and on Easter 2009, came into the Catholic Church. He has been very active in the church ever since then. He now considers himself a completed Jew. John is a hotel attorney, and he and his family belong to St Martin de Pores Catholic Church in Little Elm. His story was touched many hearts that evening.

The rest of the evening some wonderful snacks were shared, and there was still time for some fellowship. About 35 people attended, and it was a very uplifting experience for all.
