Robson Rollers end the season with a perfect night

Sheila Van Pelt, President

Wow, what a great end to a wonderful bowling season. Almost 200 Robson Rollers ended the season with an awards banquet at the clubhouse. After enjoying a wonderful Italian feast of lasagna, salad and bread, it was on to the season’s awards. Every bowler left with a little extra cash in his/her pockets.

Individual awards were given to the top male and female in each league for the following categories: high average, most improved, high scratch game, high handicap game, high scratch series and high handicap series. Team awards were distributed to each team with the five first place teams getting a “champs” bowling towel, and the five last place teams getting “crying” towels.

Currently there are five leagues with almost 350 bowlers. We are planning to add an additional league next year and hope to grow the league by 10 to 20 percent. Bowling experience is not required. We have folks that are very good bowlers and many that have never bowled before in their lives. Look for information on the message board for bowling meetings and sign-ups in the late July early August timeframe. Bowling for next season starts in September and ends at the end of April, followed by our awards banquet in early May. Each league bowls every other week. The officers thank everyone for a wonderful season and hope a lot more folks decide to join this fun group.
