The Robson Ranch Men’s Golf Association sponsored a formal Member-Member Tournament on April 20 and 21. The event was organized and directed by Donny Reed and Larry Casazza of the MGA.
The 26 teams competed in best ball competition on day one followed by nine holes each of alternate shot and scramble formats on day two. There were some excellent scores turned in, especially considering the wet conditions. Following golf on the second day the participants were treated to lunch featuring barbecue brisket, and the winners were announced once scoring was complete.
The winners in the First Flight were: 1st Gary Smith/Dan Close; 2nd Howard Harrell/Ted Dunson; and 3rd Dan Chapman/Larry Casazza. The Second Flight winners were: 1st Larry Bowes/Frank Nicpon; 2nd Sam Goodrich/Richard Svoboda; and 3rd Gary Johnson/Jack Hayes. The Third Flight winners were: 1st Bill Crawford/Rocco Bousanti; 2nd Roger Amador/John Claudy; and 3rd Lyle Nevis/Dennis Stark. The Fourth Flight winners were: 1st George Cummings/Steve Pettigrew; 2nd Mike Holst/Dennis Stewart; and 3rd Steve Williams/Larry Nortunen.
A fun golfing experience was had by all.
