Support Our Troops annual silent auction was an overwhelming success. The giving spirit of the bidders, individuals and businesses that contributed to the auction allowed SOT to raise over $27,000 that will be used to support our active military in calendar year 2018. This year over 400 donated items were available for bidding. The items collected by over 100 hard working volunteers included gift baskets, gift certificates, jewelry, small appliances, artwork and handcrafted items created by many talented individuals right here at Robson Ranch. Several neighborhood groups and clubs pooled their resources to provide entertainment baskets, ceramics and greeting cards that are always very popular auction items.
For those of you that are new to Robson Ranch or unfamiliar with Support Our Troops, we are a grassroots organization that provides support to active military relatives of RR residents and a select few charities that provide essential services to injured/disabled veterans. Support is provided in the form of material goods shipped throughout the year as well as cards containing messages of support and/or gifts sent in conjunction with birthdays and holidays. All of the money raised through fundraising activities in 2017 will be used to provide support in 2018. Support Our Troops is an IRS registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Donations to SOT are 100% tax deductible.
If you have a family member who is on active duty you can sign up as their sponsor and they will be included in our support list and mailings.
