Leave it to Terry Gilberti to come up with a pleasurable girls’ day filled with restorative therapeutic healing.

After filling our glasses with our favorite beverage and loading our plates with hors d’ oeuvres, everyone chose a “Creative Coloring Inspirations” book.

This relaxing coloring book for adults is designed to motivate your creativity and stimulate your spirit. The ready-to-color art activities offer hope and encouragement on every page. What started as a niche hobby has now turned into an international trend as adult coloring books find themselves on bestseller lists throughout the world.

Research shows that the healing power of art therapy often has tangible results. Art may not be able to cure all that ails us, but it can make coping with it easier. Researchers have acknowledged the therapeutic qualities of art for years, and today art therapy is used to help people express themselves. It is a marvelous tool for relaxation.

Terry had lots more fun in store for us. The Cocktail Game was next. Guests were to come up with the name of a cocktail for every letter of the alphabet. Tied for first place were Joy Keteltas and Eileen Culhane having correct answers for every alphabetical letter. Terry attempted to come up with a tiebreaker, but our knowledgeable ladies had all the answers.

What’s In Your Purse? It’s hard to imagine the many assorted items us ladies tote around in our pocketbooks. No wonder many women have been asked, “What are you carrying in your purse, bricks?” As Terry called out a list of items for us to produce from our handbags, we found ourselves looking for a spot to dump the contents out. Nancy Toppan was the winner, providing the most items called for from her “heavy as lead” purse.

For a little extra fun we were given a paper full of letters. The first three words we saw was intended to describe our personality.

Since coloring parties are the rage now, a “Coloring Party Plus” like Terry Gilberti’s was an “Absolute Smash!”
