Woodworkers collaborate with Denton Kiwanis Club

David Bassham, Robson Ranch Woodworkers President

The Woodworkers helped the Denton Kiwanis Club build 28 Little Libraries. They have an ongoing charitable project where they build “Little Libraries” and stock them with children’s books. The Little Libraries are then placed in under-privileged neighborhoods throughout Denton.

They needed assistance in cutting out the pieces to make the next group. The Woodworkers agreed to provide the labor and equipment. The Kiwanis Club delivered the materials on the morning of July 8, and 15 Woodworkers Club members showed up to work. Over the course of the next six hours we cut 16 sheets of plywood and enough other lumber to build 28 of the Little Libraries.
