Woodworkers name Woodworker of the Year for 2018

Kathy Dial, new woodworker of the year

At the December 18 year-end meeting of the Robson Ranch Woodworkers, club president David Bassham named Kathy Dial as Woodworker of the Year for 2018. Kathy has been a member of the Woodworkers for three years. She quickly became the club’s expert on the software used to create 3-D projects on the CNC Machine and has conducted classes on the software for the last year. She is personally responsible for the wide spread interest in our membership for these types of projects. Additionally, she has served as secretary of the Woodworking Club.

In addition to the Woodworker of the Year, four other members, Paul Giller, Sue Wells, Peggy Beyer and Jack Rhead were named as recipients of the Founders’ Award. This award recognizes those members who have made continuing, long-term contributions to the Woodworking Club.

The officers for the coming year were also introduced. David Bassham will step down as president after serving for three years. Bob Zimmerman will take over as president. Jim Fisher will become vice president, relieving Bob Wilking. Frank Hunter will continue as treasurer, and Kathy Dial will continue as secretary.
