It is right around the corner—our annual Garage Sale on Saturday, April 22, from 8 a.m. to noon. As we gear up for selling spaces, pricing collected donations, setting up, and, finally, manning the sale day, we even find time for some fun. Recently, several of the members visited the Tulip Farm on a chilly, blustery day, as well as a recent trip to the Holocaust Museum in Dallas.
To new residents, our club has the only garage sale in Robson Ranch in April and October. We sell spots for those who want to sell their own items, as well as organizations that want to raise money for their club. The dates for selling spots in the clubhouse are April 3, 5, 7, 10, and 12 from 9 to 11 a.m.
Other key dates: Drop-off at garages from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 15, 17, 18, and 19. Locations will be published in the HOA daily announcements.
The Garage Sale is the primary fundraiser for the After Schoolers. Every cent is used to support the teachers, staff, and students at two At-Risk Schools in Denton: Borman Elementary and LaGrone Academy. After Schoolers members recognize the challenges that teachers at At-Risk Schools encounter, so we look for ways to reward them by financing things they may need for their classroom, doing special treats and luncheons to lift their spirits during the school year.
This whole endeavor could not happen without the amazing support we get from Robson Ranch staff and residents. Everything sold at the Garage Sale consists of donations and treasures in amazing condition and priced to sell. We have coffee, soft drinks, donuts, and homemade goodies available at our super concession stand.
