The second EXIT 79 concert to benefit Support Our Troops was held at the Robson Ranch Veterans Park on July 3. The rain threat disappeared, and guests were treated to a nice sunset. Another large crowd of about 300 Robson Ranch residents and guests gathered on the park lawn to listen to some great 60s-70s rock ‘n roll music, dance and socialize. They were also treated to a surprise flyover by James Gregg in his Chipmunk aircraft. The patrons purchased $695 worth of EXIT 79 tee shirts and koozies at the concert, as well as $330 of paracord bracelets and $120 of SOT items (challenge coins, magnets and golf shirts). The total amount of all tour sales go into the SOT giving budget to support our troops.
The last two tour concerts are scheduled for September 5 and October 24. Due to the very large crowds attending the free concerts, we are considering a change of venue for these concerts to ensure convenient parking for vehicles and golf carts. More information will be published during August in the HOA announcements and message board. SOT volunteers will staff a table in the clubhouse from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on August 24, 26, 28, 31 and September 2 and 4. EXIT 79 concert items (tee shirts, koozies, wrist bands and posters) and SOT items (including golf shirts, paracord bracelets and challenge coins) will be available for purchase.
