Pilot Knob Rotary Club President Dolores Kearney and District Governor Andy Eads

Pat Henderson

Pilot Knob Rotary Club is a group of experienced, professional leaders committed to service and fellowship, leading to a positive impact on our community and the world. We meet each Friday at noon in the Wildhorse Grill.

On Aug. 9 Pilot Knob Rotary Club welcomed Rotary District 5790 Governor Andy Eads to share his vision for the coming club year. Andy is a native Texan and fifth generation Denton County resident. In addition to his Rotary role, he currently serves as Denton County Judge. During his remarks to the club, he challenged us to be a bridge to serve the community of Robson Ranch and to celebrate the club’s successes.

During the past year, Pilot Knob Rotary Club has conducted five blood drives, collecting 108 units; constructed 100 crosses for unmarked graves at Champion-Macedonia Cemetery; filled 24 backpacks for community schools; collected 170 pounds of lithium batteries and devices for recycling, in conjunction with Guyer High School; supported CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates); and participated in the 4th of July parade.

Pilot Knob Rotary Club will celebrate their fourth club anniversary in October. Look for future details on how you can celebrate with us.
