Women’s Club November Program: ‘The Meaning of Thanksgiving’ Live Performance

The Robson Ranch Women’s Club is excited to host the Robson Ranch Drama Club in the production, “The Meaning of Thanksgiving.” This will be an entertaining and comedy-filled performance complete with skits, music, and learning the meaning of Thanksgiving as only the Drama Club can bring it to you!

The Drama Club is a fun group! If you are looking for a light, fun, and entertaining afternoon, please join us at the November luncheon. You will enjoy this lively and fun holiday performance brought to you by our own Robson Ranch talented actors!

You will have a lot of fun at the luncheon on Monday, Nov. 4!

The November Charity: Denton Community Food Center

Buffet: Roasted turkey with giblet gravy, mashed potatoes, spinach salad with ranch and raspberry vinaigrette, cranberry sauce, rolls with butter, and pumpkin pie with whipped cream

Luncheon checks are due by Monday, Oct. 28, at 8 a.m.

As a recap, the September luncheon program was on Sept. 3. President Lisa Olson called the meeting to order. She and Donna DeBoever introduced new members, first-time attendees, and guests. Lisa also announced that the membership was 522.

Shirley Monge celebrated the September birthdays. The September birthday drawing winner was Sharon Schwambach.

Lisa reminded everyone that separate checks are required for lunches and annual membership. One grace lunch is allowed before membership. Lunch is $19, and membership is $20.

Dianna Duncan announced that $425 was raised during the luncheon for the Denton Community Food Center. The Share the Blessings lunch certificate was won by Candy Miller. Tanci Paulson with the Denton Community Food Center thanked the Women’s Club and stated that the Robson Ranch Women’s Club is their biggest single organization contributor.

Dianna also announced the Christmas Decorations Donations Drive. Bring unused Christmas decorations to the October, November, and December luncheons. Lynn Teeling and Jennifer Phelps are coordinating this effort with Friends of the Families to provide decorations to the families in the programs.

Suzanne Spisak detailed the Our Daily Bread initiative, “Day of Caring.” She encouraged members to sign up to help on Oct. 24. She also announced the Adopt a Family initiative. More information will be provided for the Our Daily Bread projects, a Cleaning Supply Drive, a “Welcome Home” household goods pallets and apartment furnishings (queen-size mattress pad, pillows, and three twin-size mattress pads and bedding).

Lori Stockton showcased the Holiday Market on Oct. 12. There will be more than 60 vendors and a raffle with eight beautiful baskets.

The “Denim & Pearls on the Patio” Social will be held on Oct. 20 beginning at 5 p.m.

Dee Sico announced that the holiday outing to the Meyerson will be on Dec. 12. She also announced that the October program will feature Master Gardener Kathi Efflandt. She then announced that the September program will feature Heather Vroegop with HCV Design Concepts. Heather held a drawing for two arrangements and one Halloween wreath. The winners were Lynn McCalley, Annette McGee, and Marie Freeman.
