Fellow Road Runners Travel Club members traveled to Ireland and Scotland in July and August. This trip was a delightful 12-day journey on a business class coach. They explored Northern Ireland and Scotland’s Gaelic Grandeur with VIP entrance to the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. What is the Military Tattoo? you may ask. The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is a special annual event that is part of Edinburgh’s summer festivals. It is an outdoor celebration of dance and music, military traditions, Scottish heritage, and international culture set against the incredible backdrop of Edinburgh Castle. The show ends with a lone piper and provides a moment of reflection to remember those who came before us. The beauty of the countryside, the quaint towns, shops, taverns, restaurants, and hotels left these travelers with many sweet memories.
