When December rolls around, there is usually a mad rush to finish Christmas projects, whether the projects are for ourselves or to be gifted. Several members got a head start on their quilt projects and avoided that mad rush this year.
And, of course, there are the Christmas stockings that we donate every year. This year there were 150 stockings to be given to the After Schoolers, deployed military, and to the Denton Quilt Guild who distributes them to nursing homes, children in foster care, and low-income families. These stockings were a group effort, with Marguerite Rose always creating the decorations that go on the stockings.
The Material Girls Club wishes everyone a happy holiday season and a wonderful new year.
