It’s a very exciting time at the Farmers Market, with several new vendors attending on Friday mornings. Today, I would like to introduce one of our new vendors, Four Score Kitchen, a cottage bakery specializing in sourdough and yeast breads.
Marie started her business a little over two years ago, but she has been in some form of food-related industry her entire life. She feels lucky to also have the in-house knowledge of her partner Greg who is a trained Culinary Institute of America chef.
The flavors and offerings from Marie and Greg will shift with the seasons. During the summer months, they will have available things like strawberries and cream muffins, sundried tomato and basil sourdough, and hamburger buns on the yeasted side. Each week there will be three different breads, a cookie, a muffin, and cinnamon rolls available at a minimum.
A love of baking—turning simple elements of flour, water, and salt into wholesome food—and a desire to feed their community are the driving forces behind Four Score Kitchen. As Marie says, “Everyone deserves good bread.”
