First-place winners: Table 51
The Aug. 21 Trivia Night was another success, continuing a tradition of 30 teams competing to get the highest score for the evening! The Trivia Club appreciates and recognizes the loyalty of all the teams for their support of Trivia Night.
Trivia Night was a competitive event, with very close final scores. Two teams tied for first place again, and a playoff question decided the winners. Many other teams also scored high, finishing just behind the leaders! The first-place winners for Aug. 21 Trivia Night were Table 51, followed closely by The Right Stuff in second place. Smarticus took third place.
While there is plenty of competition to win, the true winners are all the players who enjoy an evening of fellowship while debating the answers and celebrating the correct ones. A silence falls over the room as the answer to each question is revealed, followed by exuberant celebrations from those who got it right and groans from those who missed the answer. The Trivia Club awarded nearly $2,000 in prizes to teams, individuals, and entire tables. Prizes included gift cards to the Wildhorse Grill and Visa gift cards.
Thanks to all the participants, a donation was made from this evening to CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) one of the organizations highlighted that receives donations from these events. One hundred percent of the proceeds are donated to charities.
The next Trivia Night will be on Nov. 13, with ticket sales on Oct. 29.
